Aluminum Recyling Print

Scott County Humane Society needs your help recycling aluminum (and other metals) for spay & neuter assistance fund!

We have a partnership with Weber City Recycling to enable us too more easily accept donations from the public and businesses.  Weber City Recycling will accept recyclable metals and donate the value to the humane society fund.  Weber City Recycling accepts all non-ferrous metals and is located on Wilhelm Avenue across from Roberts Tire in Weber City, VA.  They are open Monday-Friday 9am-4pm and can be reached at 276-415-1986 if you have any questions.

The key to having a successful aluminum recycling program is volume and community supporters are making this program a reality for the humane society.  We would like to thank the following for their support in this program:

  • Fort Blackmore Elementary School
  • Mann's Farm
  • Appalachian Power Company (AEP)
  • Gary's Auto Service
  • Tempur-Pedic Production
  • Duffield Tire
  • And many more individuals!

This fund-raising program began in spring of 2010 as a way to support our spay & neuter program.  So far, over 1,000 pounds of aluminum has been collected!  The funds generated are used to allow us to offer discounted spays & neuters to the public.  Please contact us if you are interested in supporting this program or looking for options for spay or neuter.
